Device Time Mismatch in ETimetrackLite

If your biometric device displays a different time than ETimetrackLite software, attendance records may become inaccurate.

The biometric device clock may be:

  • Ahead of actual time

ETimetrackLite uses the computer's system time. If the computer clock differs from the device time, synchronization problems occur.

3. Daylight Saving or Timezone Configuration

4. Network Time Protocol (NTP) Not Enabled

Device not syncing with NTP server for automatic time updates.

How to Fix Device Time Mismatch

Step 1: Check Current Time on Both Systems

On the Device:

  • Press Mode button on device
  • Navigate to System Settings or Time Settings
  • Note the current time displayed

On the Computer:

  • Check bottom-right corner of taskbar
  • Note the current system time

Step 2: Synchronize Device Time with Computer

Using ETimetrackLite Software:

  1. Open ETimetrackLite
  2. Go to Device Settings
  3. Select the device
  4. Look for "Synchronize Time" or "Set Device Time" option
  5. Click to sync device time with computer
  6. Device will reboot and apply new time
